I'm Jericho. My team call me 'Jer Bear'. Because I'm a big dude covered in tattoos but I'm as nice as they come. When I was a young man I was a straight-edge vegan and I once got arrested for throwing a rock through a McDonald's shop window. It's fair to say I've chilled out a lot since then, and started buying from butchers.
I may have tamed the passion for ideals but I replaced it with a bigger passion for ideas. See, I may love chilling out, drinking whiskey, getting baked and taking it easy. But this somewhat conflicts with my other loves: hard work, craft and visually impactful work.
These two opposing forces come together somehow to fight for better advertising that entertains, engages and emotes – and there’s no reason you can’t get to that level of work with a smile on your face.
My creative approach—no matter the medium—is to find points of tension behind the idea I’ve been assigned or am interested in. I do several iterations on each point and usually end up refining the one I find most controversial.
